 The world is taking brave new steps towards a sustainable future. In other words, nature is taking over. Some might say that the essence of today’s modern-day living finds its heritage in essential oils. In our contemporary living rooms decorated in elegant themes and fancy furniture, essential oils are the traditions that bring us closer to our roots and to ourselves.  


 As we know, the first records of essential oils come from Persia, Greece, Egypt, Rome, and of course, India. While we and the Egyptians, Greeks, and Chinese used these oils for ritual and healing purposes, aromatherapy using these magical potions was first used in Cleopatra’s land, Egypt.

Choose only trusted brands for your essential oil needs. People who are dealing exclusively in essential oils and natural products will give you the purest concoctions. Starting young- Helping youth truly live up to their potential
	

	

		
Do you remember being 13 or 16 or 18 years old? 
 
If you were like me or like hundreds of other teenagers it is a time of confusion, lack of confidence, and lack of awareness in oneself. It is also a time when you often look in the mirror and may not like what you see. 
 
I vividly remember my awkward teen years. I went through a period of intense awkwardness and an ‘ugly duckling phenomena’ inside and as a result on the outside. A teenager who really did not have any confidence and could not live up to peer pressure. 
 
As an educator and a life coach I quickly came to realize that I had not been alone, many teens all over the go through the same painful experience. If not handled properly, unfortunately, many adults carry those invisible scars with them.


Youth nowadays more than ever are dealing with a multitude of challenges. Some key challenges the youth often deal with are expectations from the people around them whether that be school, parents, or peers. In many cases, youth do not like speaking to their parents about the issues they have which makes it all the more difficult. 
 
With the advent of social media youth more than ever are prey to negative influences causing further chaos from within often leading to comparison, lack of confidence, and general dissatisfaction of who they are. 
 
Later on in their youth, important decisions need to be made about possible paths. However, the brain of a teen is still maturing. David Walsh imparts, the brain is not fully mature until around the age of 25. Thus teenagers are not able to make good judgments in difficult situations. 


 What if things had been different when you were growing up. If you had the guidance of a trustworthy confidant that was not going to share your deepest secrets with your parents or anyone else? What if you had someone in your life that taught you how to handle obstacles and setbacks; to truly understand what your values are and how to monitor  growth? 
 
I can remember wishing I had someone to talk to, to help with confidence and self-awareness. When I was choosing a career path, I was unsure and didn’t look into my values. I had no guidance and no true inkling  of the path I wanted. I know that things would have been completely different if I had that sort of guidance.


This is exactly what a life coach does. We empower youth to truly live up to their potential. Nowadays teens don’t need advice; they need compassion, trust, and someone to empower them to grasp skills and talents within them to rise to their best. 
 
With a Life coach, youth get an unbiased person to truly listen to their needs and wants without judgment or a desire to correct. A coach sees the world from the youth’s map of the world and points out a different perspective they may have not thought of previously. 


By holding accountability, youth learn how to set and achieve goals – a skill they can take with them throughout their life. Along with this, teens learn how to manage emotions- particularly the turbulence that is related to being adolescent and the emotions that come with managing challenges.


A youth coach instills confidence and helps teens focus and shine their strengths to achieve their goals. The aim is to turn their big dreams through direction, planning, and action creating possibilities for the future.

Protection is a strong word, thrown around very lightly unless one feels unprotected. We human beings seek protection from things, that we feel can have a negative impact on us. Doctors will protect us from health issues, lawyers from legal issues and to the extent many believe the Omnipresent will protect us from every issue. Such is the belief and the requirement of mankind.


With the rapid change in the current global trend, the advent of new technology and verticals at a Godspeed time, it is imperative that people are aware of various modes of protection and the importance of the same. As often said “Ignorance of the law, is no excuse”, it is very important for a person to know the specific legality, pertaining to each sector of the business vertical. Similarly, it is very important to understand the increasing importance of copyright laws in the sector of media and entertainment.


The Media and Entertainment Industry in India is growing at a rapid speed. The M&E sector in India will reach its new high in the coming years. Bollywood along with the South Indian Film Industry and other Regional Film Industry is one of the biggest Film Industries in the world and is worth billions. With the advent of the OTT era, it has leapt to new unprecedented heights. Access to content is now at the fingertips and on devices such as mobile, tablets and laptops. With the enhancement of new technology and ease of accessibility, the risk of piracy and infringement of a content/original work is also very high and can result in a huge loss to the original creator. Considering the same, it is imperative to protect the copyright of original work and save it from getting infringed illegally.


In today’s world, we have so many modes and mediums to commercialise content. It can be theatres, cinema, DTH, OTT, Digital Media, Social Media and so on and forth. The options are plenty, the forum and viewership also have multiplied due to the easy access of all platforms from anywhere in the world, if you have internet connectivity, which also is very easily accessible.


People create any content with a lot of effort, passion, observation and thought process. A lot of ideas, thinking, time and effort is consumed behind creating any original work and each is unique in its way. The copyright laws of India under the purview and ambit of the Copyright Act, 1957 as amended, along with the Copyright Amendment Act, 2012, provide legal protection to the creator of any content/original work in the form of literary, artistic, or musical work. Any new and unique creation of content/original work in the media and entertainment sector, whether be it a story, script, lyrics, musical composition, the concept can be protected from being illegally copied and infringed under the provisions of the copyright laws of India.


An original work carries the potential of being commercially monetised in many different platforms and mediums, it carries the potential to be licensed, to be assigned, to be dubbed, remade and so on and so forth. To ensure that the creator does not lose out on these varied possible options and opportunities and can exploit, extract, and use his/her original created work in the best possible manner, it is imperative that such original work is duly copyright protected. Agreements entered between various parties in the business of media and entertainment emphasises specifically on originality of any work/content and its due copyright protection, thus ensuring a higher value attributed to such original work.


The protection under the copyright legislation in India extends for 60 years posthumously, i.e registered copyright of any original work, which will be valid for 60 years, after the death of the creator of such work.


Considering the current growth of the media and entertainment industry, the innovation and the advent of new technology, platform, forums, mediums, and the different genres of original work that are been created, more emphasis must be given to protecting such original work under the copyright laws and to ensure that they are not misused.
