DLC Hunger and Nutrition
02 Hunger and Nutrition
Even though our Planet has provided vast resources, reasons like unequal access and poor distribution systems have led to malnourishment among large populations. To end hunger is among the UN’s most well-defined Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is targeted at achieving food security and better nutrition besides promoting sustainable agriculture. The Global DLC Social Impact Community vows to align itself to this Cause and end hunger wherever it exists in the world by helping build rural infrastructure, support agricultural research and build plant and livestock gene banks to enhance agricultural production

DLC Sustainable Agricultural practices
03 Sustainable Agricultural practices
From permaculture to agroforestry, mixed faming to crop rotation, sustainable agriculture is all about taking up environment-friendly methods of farming. The DLC Social Impact Community works with NGOs and local agencies for investments in the required infrastructure to preserve and restore critical habitats, protect watersheds and improve the health of the soil and retain water quality. The larger aim of the Community is to help limit global warming.

Who can help
NGOs engaged in disaster management and food distribution, NPOs involved in food-related enterprises, charities, foundations and individuals working locally channeling unused food to those who are in need, educational institutions researching alternative proteins and more efficient agricultural practices
What can you do
Organisations can partner to reach the farthest corners of the world to limit the number of people who go without food, sensitise people to the plight of those who go without food; contribute resources in emergencies
#DLCSocialImpact
The key obstacles to achieve the UN SDG of Zero Hunger is the high cost of nutritious foods and the low affordability of healthy diets for over 3 billion people. A majority of them are in sub-Saharan Africa and southern Asia, but no region, including North America and Europe, is spared. Let’s bring the goal back on track. #DLCSocialImpact
