Fashion Highlight
| Narendra Kumar, Nari, renowned for his flawless fit, modern ideas, and contemporary narrative appears at the Della Leaders Club Mumbai Intellect Pop-Up. Nari’s streamlined appearance and slick tailoring pay homage to his Indian heritage. He owns a number of brands that target distinct markets. He begins his speech at a high- which he expertly maintains- by saying, “You size up someone in the first 15 minutes of seeing them from the clothes they wear,” then he contradicts it by saying, “Clothes mean nothing today without a story”. He goes on to deliver his ideation about Capitalism surveillance in the modern world and reveals that his fashion show was inspired by two books- ‘A brave new world’ by Aldous Huxley & ‘1984’ by George Orwell. Both these books depict how institutions use coercion and distraction to change your mind. He ends the explanation by declaring, “Here’s the fashion distraction, coercion, in two plus two is equal to five.” In the company of Tom Ford, Prada, Gucci, and other luxury brands, Esquire Magazine (2013) ranked his Mumbai store as one of the top 50 stores in the world. Additionally, GQ Magazine and the Economic Times both honoured him as the designer of the year (2013–2014). (2019-2020). As the first fashion editor for Elle Magazine, Nari continues to collaborate with a number of other esteemed fashion editorials. #NarendraKumar #AmazonIndia |
