Jaipur Rugs Company Pvt. Ltd
Jaipur Rugs make hand made carpets across India and provides employment to over 40,000 people across India by exporting carpets to over 50 countries. Jaipur is our family’s business that combines the pursuit of profit with the spreading of kindness in a way that benefits all of our stakeholders: our consumers and their families, the artisans and their families, our employees, our suppliers, the buyers and channels we work with. Our business is built on bedrock of values that goes back to our father and founder, Nand Kishore Chaudhary that combines kindness as our default demeanor, compassion for those around us, and the humility that everyone deserves dignity. This means that Jaipur will work with all those that stand for these values and it drives us as an organization to work with and tap into the creative capacity of those in society that are disadvantaged or rejected. With their help, we not only create the most distinct design of the highest quality, but are also able to capture the blessings of the disadvantaged such as the artisans and their families. This blessing derives from their passion and devoted labour as they receive the opportunity to grow their fortunes, self-worth and pride-and which then transform into our products. As a result, a Jaipur customer will receive the most beautiful, highest quality design together with the blessing of an artisan’s family. The unique combination of our father’s values, our unrivaled products and the blessings through the artisans to our customers provides our family business with an enduring source of competitive advantage. Hence, we aspire to become the leader in our trade and serve as the catalyst for how our industry creates both economic and humanitarian benefit for all stakeholders. By living these values and striving to achieve our aspiration every day , we will ensure the legacy of our father and founder who is the fabric known to all of us as Jaipur. Jaipur Rugs works with a network of 40,000 weavers in 6 states of India and takes responsibility to bind them all with a common thread of love and compassion. Artisans are not only provided sustainable livelihoods but also opportunities for personal growth and development. Various projects and programmes are organised frequently to ensure societal impact through this change. As part of the Jaipur family, customers visit production villages to meet artisans in an effort to bring dignity back to the artisans and create a link between the grassroots and global home owners. Jaipur Rugs Foundation (JRF) was founded in 2004 by Nand Kishore Chaudhary under the Rajasthan Public Trust Act. The overall work mandate of JRF is to reach out to remote rural areas and establish bonds with the village communities, enabling them to start weaving not just rugs but also their own lives.
