Devika Bhagat was born in New Delhi, India. She has a BFA degree in Film and Television from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She has been a Screenwriter since 2005.

Devika co-founded Adventurist Spirits Distillery, an independent craft distillery in Goa, in 2020 along with her husband Khalil Bachooali. Their first spirit is Tāmras Gin – a small-batch, copper-distilled Indian Dry Gin with 16 distinct botanicals, launched in December 2021.

She divides her time between Mumbai and Goa.
