Balaji embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 1983 by establishing a pioneering Mango Pulp Processing Factory in Aragonda, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. His tenacity and innovation led to the expansion of operations with a significant manufacturing unit in Pondicherry by 1986. Venturing into import-export businesses dealing with Building Materials in 1991, he extended his influence across India and the USA, showcasing his prowess in International trade.

With an impressive International presence, Balaji’s entrepreneurial spirit transcended borders, as he ventured into over 37 countries with a specialized focus on building materials import-export. His strategic collaborations have yielded remarkable results, including a groundbreaking alliance with Wageningen University, Netherlands, where he advised IFFCO Ltd in the establishment of India’s inaugural Kisan SEZ in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. This expansive 2,700-acre project showcased his acumen in agri-business and sustainable development.

Balaji’s collaboration with Afimilk, Israel, marked a significant milestone, introducing India’s first Integrated Dairy Farm.

A true visionary, Balaji conceptualized India’s First premier Satellite city, a sprawling Knowledge Hub near Bangalore. Acquiring approximately 9,000 acres of land for this visionary project, he collaborated with Aecom Architects, USA, to craft a master plan spanning 40 sq. km. The city’s design aimed to accommodate a thriving populace of 500,000 individuals, fostering a harmonious blend of habitation and work.

Balaji’s commitment to social impact is evident through his dedication to corporate social responsibility. He has empowered rural youth through skill development and employment opportunities, training over 2,600 individuals who have seamlessly integrated into the workforce of Bangalore and Hyderabad. As the Founder & Chairman of Being Farmer Foundation, he spearheads a transformative non-profit initiative. The foundation imparts advanced farming skills and agri-entrepreneurship programs, catalyzing rural youth empowerment. Under his leadership, “Being Farmer Agro Parks” have been established at the Taluk level, creating vital village-based living and work opportunities. The innovative “Being Farmer – Farmer’s Service Centre (FSC) / Market Place” bridges the gap between farmers and markets, underscoring Balaji’s commitment to holistic development.

As a testament to his visionary leadership, Vamsiram Builders & Developers Pvt. Ltd. has completed over 85 projects, including the development of 6.5 million sq. ft. of office buildings in Hyderabad. Currently, Balaji is steering the ambitious “MANHATTAN” project, an ultra-luxury residential endeavour encompassing 7 million sq. ft. in Hyderabad.
