Design Temple

A contemporary and sophisticated aesthetic informs the vocabulary of Design Temple’s evocative home objects. Rooted in the spiritual and cultural ethos of Ancient India, Design Temple’s objects are created to exist as iconic classics rather than as seasonal trends. Each coveted product, no matter how small or big, tells a unique story with substance, subtlety and style. Conceived in India, Design Temple began its journey in 1999 as a boutique graphic design studio much sought after by clients for its excellence and consistency of services. In 2006, their inaugural line of home objects broke ground with its refreshing and trailblazing design language that defied kitsch and won the brand accolades globally. First spotted in London at the V&A Museum and in Milan at Wallpaper* Handmade, Design Temple’s products began selling through the design stores like the Conran Shops and 10 Corso Como. By 2011, the brands interest shifted predominantly to creating home accessories and had it participating at trade shows like Salone Del Mobile and Maison & Objet in search of its audiences. A 7 year long stint with experiential retail allowed the brand to collaborate and cross-pollinate with established and emerging thinkers and makers, mediums and materials, experimenting, innovating and mastering their flair at seeking and translating India’s rich past into a foreseeable future in design.
